Despite taking a break over the year, Patent Pending returned to The Sherman Theater for their annual holiday show. This show took place on December 27th 2024 in East Stroudsburg in Pennsylvania. The show also included The Cellar Dwellars and Eternal Boy.

To kick off the night was Cellar Dwellars. This upcoming band from New Jersey took the stage and brought the energy right in. They even had their own fans in the audience with wizard hats, representing their band. While they may not be on streaming services just yet (but they did mention they are working on it), they brought on an awesome live performance.

The next band to take the stage was Eternal Boy. Coming from Pittsburgh, PA, Eternal Boy bring the upbeat pop punk vibes to the stage. It’s not uncommon to see Eternal Boy playing with Patent Pending. In fact, while lead singer and guitarist, (find name) makes jokes about the Patent Pending fans in the room, he talks about still being in his thirties and playing with his best friends. The band playing new songs from their new album, Little Room to Breath, to covers of Taylor Swift’s song, they brought the energy to this crowd.

Patent Pending took the holiday themed stage, playing their classic 2010 hit, “Walk in Closet.” The stage is filled with different themed holiday stuff including a fireplace with stockings with each band member’s name and a blow up holiday theme Corgi. The setlist included classics like “Classic You” and “Hey Mario.” . Patent Pending debuted a new song that will be coming out in the beginning of the new year. With debuting the new song, they brought out drummer, Anthony Mingonia, two daughters out to sing along with.
At points, emotions were high playing songs like “One Less Heart to Break” and bringing back a classic “Second Family.” Joe Ragosta, the lead singer, can be seen hugging audience members. For most people, they have been following this band for the past 20 years. You can see these people who grew up with Patent Pending bringing their younger kids dressed up as Mario in the crowd. There’s familiar faces you will always catch at a show, even with the band taking breaks. There’s a true meaning when Joe Ragosta talks about the Second Family in the Patent Pending fanbase. You can be a band for this long, bring a new generation of fans together and keep your older fans, despite changes or breaks.

Patent Pending wrapped up their last holiday show with their hit, “Douchebag.” It looks like with a new song being played at these shows, we can expect some new Patent Pending in this year.
